The Force 5 is RANS new dual 650c-wheeled SWB recumbent. As it isn’t due out until March 04 I can’t tell you what it feels like, yet. It will be made in the USA, which is nice. The HP Velotechnik Spirit is a great first recumbent. Like most CLWB OSS bikes it is easy to get used to and great for around town riding. Its upright seating and stable handling make it good in traffic. The rear suspension makes the potholes on your commute less harsh. Read More…
If you want a Long-Wheel-Base (LWB) recumbent with Under-Seat-Steering (USS) and rear suspension the Hase Tagun is about your only choice. The rear suspension does a good job of soaking up bumps but it also adds a 5 to 7 LB weight penalty over other LWB USS bikes. Read More…
