Easy Racers Gold Rush
Recumbent Bicycles

The original
Gold Rush, winner of the $18,000 DuPont Prize.
“Fast Freddie”
Markam won the $18,000 DuPont Prize on this bike in 1986. Its aerodynamic
fairing completely encloses the rider and roughly doubles the top speed.
While not practical on the street, this fairing was essential for "Fast
Freddie" Markam to reach his record breaking 68 mph speed!
The Gold Rush is now at the Museum of American History in the Smithsonian
Institution, Washington, D. C. Unfortunately it is no longer on display.
